Local accommodation registered 70% drop during second lockdown

During the 1st quarter of 2021, which coincided with the second general lockdown caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, 6.900 nights were sold in Porto’s local accommodation units and 8.000 in Lisbon. In both cases, these numbers represented a 70% yoy drop (a new minimum), with last year’s 1st quarter also coinciding with the first lockdown.
