House sales dropped 8% in 2020 representing 161.500 dwellings sold.

2020 closed with around 161.500 dwellings sold in Portugal (Mainland). This represents an 8% drop when compared to the 175.300 dwellings traded in the country in 2019. This drop reflects, more than anything, the initial impact the pandemic had, with the year’s 2nd quarter registering its lowest activity, with around 32.500 dwellings traded, a 21% drop when compared to the 41.600 units sold during the 1st quarter.
