Housing prices registered 2.5% monthly increase

The results from May from the Índice de Preços Residenciais (Housing Prices Index) show that housing prices in Portugal (Mainland) registered a 2.5% increase when compared to the previous month. This is the most robust chain variation of the last two years and a half and it marks an acceleration compared to the results since the beginning of the pandemic, when the monthly variations never went beyond 1.0%.
